Optimism + Social Impact
This month in the Impact Leaders Incubator, our theme is OPTIMISM.
At our monthly Community Circle this week, I offered the group a definition: Optimism = Vision + Confidence.
In social impact work, Optimism is a crucial leadership skill. It involves having a vision about the change you want to see in the world and the confidence that your efforts are working toward that change.
In other words: ya gotta believe what you're doing matters, or you're not going to be able to keep going.
And keep going we must – progress is often slow, but momentum is crucial.
